Singapore Escapade 2022: Travel goals achieved!

When I was young, I've always dreamed of visiting other countries together with my family, thus 2022 is my biggest plot twist. Singapore, commonly known for the merlion statue was one of the deep attraction of this country. If you won't visit the lion, your stay in Singapore isn't enough.

Arrival at Changi Airport

When we first arrived at the airport, I was mesmerized by the cleanliness and efficiency of the immigration process. It was a breeze, and we couldn't have asked for a smoother welcome to Singapore. The airport itself felt like a mini city, bustling with shops, restaurants, and even a butterfly garden. It was a unique experience that set the mood for our adventure.

A short visit to Malaysia

We left for Malaysia the next morning in order to attend my brother's conferment ceremony, which was the main purpose for our trip. The close proximity of the Malaysian and Singaporean borders impressed me. Although the distance we traveled was short—less than five minutes—the immigration inspection took longer. The basic yet recognizable culture of Malaysia welcomed us, and the spicy cuisine they served was a wonderful surprise. Particularly the chili shrimp dish.

Singapore Adventure and Exploration
We traveled back to Singapore after our quick visit in Malaysia and continued explore the city. We made the most of our time during the three days.

Our trip to Sentosa was an undertaking in and of itself. We visited the entire fun-filled island, rode exhilarating rides, and gawked at the creative sights. One of the highlights of our vacation was the Skyhelix Sentosa, which is the highest air panoramic ride above the ground.

We couldn't miss the iconic Marina Bay Sands, with its breathtaking rooftop views. The rich greenery of the Cloud Forest offered an unexpected escape .

We also arrived to Siloso Beach, a man-made paradise, thanks to our adventure. It was astonishing to consider that humans could have built such a stunning beach.

It was eye-opening to travel for Singapore and Malaysia. This journey will be remembered for these two close-by nations, their welcoming and warm residents, and the gastronomic adventures. We promised to come back for more adventures and left with an increased appreciation for the diversity of cultures.

Travel not only broadens the mind but also fills the heart with wonderful memories. Our journey through Singapore and Malaysia has done just that. Until we meet again, Southeast Asia! 🌏✈️
